Tasting Notes: The taste of any particular grappa can change from vintage to vintage just like wine, but this particular Grappa “Stravecchia” is blended to maintain the same flavor year after year using various Barolo Grappas aged in different Slavonian oak casks from the same year. Montanaro follows a unique recipe created by its namesake founder Mr. Montanaro, in an attempt to carry on his legacy. Aroma and taste blend elegantly during the time spent in the barrels, allowing this grappa to acquire an unmistakable softness and straw-color, typical of long-aging.
