Tasting Notes: Fresh, vibrant and supple, Dante Barbera d’Asti is excellent with antipasti, firm cheeses, red sauce pasta, pizza or steak. The palate is bright with red berries and balanced with a refreshing smack of acidity. The finish is elegant and lengthy.
Winemaker Matteo Gerbi made the wines at G.D. Vajra and Bruno Giacosa before embarking on this new adventure. He likes to quote Dante:
“Volta ver' me, sì lieta come bella, drizza la mente in Dio grata, mi disse, che n'ha congiunti con la prima stella"
...or, better, in our modern words, only the persons with high knowledge and open vision can follow our path!
