Tasting Notes: The Musella Amarone della Valpolicella presents an intense garnet red color with a rich and complex bouquet of ripe red fruit, black cherry, fig, plum, and sweet spices like cinnamon and vanilla, complemented by subtle notes of chocolate and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied, opulent, and velvety, offering concentrated layers of dried fruit and a harmonious balance of robust power and freshness. Despite its high alcohol content, a well-present acidity keeps it juicy, leading to a long, persistent finish with hints of black cherry and mocha.
Estate History: The Musella estate is a historic property located just outside Verona, within a beautiful, centuries-old park that includes forests, olive groves, and the Fibbio stream. The winemaking tradition in the area dates back to the mid-19th century, but the current chapter began in 1995 when the Pasqua family purchased the vineyards and structures, including a restored 16th-century courtyard which now houses the winery and a country relais. Since 2009, driven by Maddalena Pasqua, the winery has wholeheartedly embraced organic and biodynamic agriculture, earning Demeter certification and focusing on natural winemaking processes without the use of chemicals or selected yeasts to best express the unique territory of the Valpolicella region.
