Tasting Notes: The Masi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Campolongo di Torbe comes from a top Amarone cru, a well drained volcanic soil that is thought to help in softening the tannins and adding hints of almonds and minerals that make it a special wine with great intensity and balance. The color is an opaque ruby red, the nose is intense with complex aromas of baked fruit and cinnamon. The palate is full-bodied and well-balanced, with ripe cherry flavors (sweet and marasca), baked plums and bitter almonds.
