Tasting Notes: The Chianti Classico Riserva Caparsino is the result of the amazing terroir of Radda. 450 meters of elevation and soils composed of Alberese, Galestro, clay, and sand create the perfect conditions for growing Sangiovese. The selection of Sangiovese grapes in the vineyards of Caparsa in Radda in Chianti, produces a classic wine of the mountains of Chianti. The label shows a farmer contemplating a bunch of grapes, designed by Mino Maccari.
Estate History: Paolo Cianferoni is the force behind Carpaso, a certified-organic one-man estate making compelling wine from old vines in the heart of Chianti Classico, with very little manipulation or modern technology.
