Tasting Notes: A Tuscan red from the Frescobaldi family's Castiglioni estate in the hills southwest of Florence, blending Bordeaux varieties with Sangiovese. It shows black cherry, blackcurrant and plum with notes of spice, tobacco and sweet oak, a smooth, medium-full body and supple tannins. Pair with grilled steak, roast meats and aged cheeses.
Estate History: The Frescobaldi family has been making wine in Tuscany for some 700 years, and Castiglioni is the family's historic estate in the Val di Pesa.
