Tasting Notes: The Lagrein grape variety dates back to the 17th century in this region, thus it is recognized as one of the oldest in the Sud Tyrol area. Lagrein is noted for the deep red color it gives the wine and its unique fruity/spicy flavor profile. This garnet-red wine has hues of violet-purple. The aroma is intense with aromas of berries and violet flowers. On the palate the wine is silky soft and round with a hint of spice. It is full-bodied with nicely integrated tannins and a persistent elegant finish.
