Tasting Notes: A polished Bolgheri-area red blending Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Deep ruby, it shows ripe blackcurrant, plum, Mediterranean herbs and a hint of graphite, with a supple, elegant texture and fine tannins. Pair with grilled steak, lamb chops, roast duck and aged pecorino.
Estate History: Ca' Marcanda is the Tuscan coastal estate of the Gaja family of Barbaresco, founded in the 1990s in the Bolgheri area.
