Tasting Notes: From a large estate in Castellina in Chianti purchased by Antinori in 2017, hand-harvested from a single vineyard. It's the most powerful and layered of the three Gran Selezione releases, with a style that leans savory rather than fruit-forward.
An earthy, floral nose of turned soil and tulips gives way to ripe cherry and a chocolate-tinged finish, layered and umami-driven in a way that's unusual for Chianti Classico.
